On 22th August, Chinese Vice Minister of Agriculture Niu Dun Meets with Rachid Benaissa, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Algeria and to exchange views on how to strength agriculture cooperation between two countries.
Niu Dun pointed that, from the view point of the agricultural development process, China and Algeria have a long history of agricultural development,and they both have given birth to many agricultural civilization. In recent years, With the joint efforts of both sides, China and Algeria have continuously scored new achievements through agriculture cooperation. It has enhanced mutual understanding and deepened friendship, by hosting Land management training courses for Algerian officers. At present, Soil improvement project has become the model of agricultural cooperation between two countries. Meanwhile, Algeria has become the China's important agricultural trade partners in Africa. Niu Dun said that China is willing to cooperate with Algeria to strengthen bilateral agriculture cooperation from following Aspects: First, establish and improve cooperation mechanisms between two countries; Second, Strengthen bilateral cooperation on agricultural sciences and technologies; Third, to further promote capacity building in agriculture field; Fourth, to push forward Agricultural business cooperation. Fifth, to encourage in facilitating China- Algeria business cooperation. and he is also willing to work with China to make joint efforts to enhance the level of bilateral agricultural cooperation and thanked China's help and support in the agriculture field.
