By exporting value added pet food to oversea market, which is made from slaughter house waste products, India can earn more than $50 billion, an official said.
Slaughter house waste were taken as a big city pollution source. But now experts feel that it could be a profitable industry for India, if abattoir waste recycled as feed for animal.
Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. (retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah, said in India meat industry was associated with Muslims, so AMU faculty should carry more works on these slaughter houses.
Prof. S.M. Ilyas, Project Director, National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad said that in the near future , bio-products will be more valuable than the meat.
