Disinfection Measures for Poultry Processing Plants (I)
Poultry processing plant is the major place for boiler slaughtering and processing. However, due to the extensive source and complex health conditions of boilers, they are easily taken to the plant with carrier and sickness, which will cause contamination and lead disease breakout and spread. Therefore, disinfection measure takes a very critical role to ensure chicken meat meat hygiene quality, prevent disease outbreaks and spread. In addition, it has very important significant to kill pathogens, rapidly control spread of disease, guarantee the quality of processed meat, and operators' health.
1 Plant Area
1.1 In the access way of factory gate, there need to set disinfection pool, where always keeps the effective liquid concentration in the pool. Persons and vehicles in and out must be sterilized. For Transport vehicle, it need to be sterilized at designated place.
1.2 Broad-spectrum and high efficient disinfectant used for daily sterilization. More than two chemical disinfectant should be prepared for alternate use, in order to improve efficacy environment and strength disinfection effect.
1.3 Unloading plat form , waiting area and inspection area are the places where persons contact with poultry most. Therefore, it is so important to enhance disinfection in those area. Every day after finishing, the plants will be fully cleaned and sprayed, to ensure hygiene and clean.
2 Workshop
2.1 Routine disinfection mainly refers to the regularly sanitation and disinfectionwork upon the daily cleaning. After finishing daily work, the following things in the poultry processing plants needs to be completely cleaned with hot water, to remove oil and other things, including: floors, walls, passage, drain gutter, tables, knifes, tools, a variety equipments in the plant, work clothes, caps, gloves, aprons and rubber boots and so on.
2.2 In addition, weekly large disinfection should be taken. After regular cleaning and washing, we should spay peracetic acid solution to the ground, walls, and main equipments in the plants, where the disinfection liquid need to keep 1-4 hours, then washed with clean water. At the same time,
2.3 For workers' clothes, masks and gloves, sterilized by boiling; For rubber boots, ,apron and other rubber products, disinfected by 2% to 5% formaldehyde solution; A variety of equipments directly used for meat processing, such as high suspension line (overhead conveyor line), stainless steel containers for meat and viscera, sterilized by 0.2% -0.5 % peracetic acid solution spray disinfectant .
